Senior Photography in Madison Indiana

It’s that time of year again here in Madison Indiana, schools are getting started and it’s time for Senior Portraits to begin.  It’s really never a bad time for Senior Portraits I guess it is a right of passing that you get them done when you go back to school in the fall !!

If you need to schedule one don’t hesitate to call me at 701-3415 or shoot me a email at kasperbernie@hotmail.com I am not one of those photographers that tell you I am filling up fast so get an appointment now..I will make time for you !!

I can do in studio shoots or for a bit cheaper price we can do it all outside to save you money, we can customize your shoot as well or for a bigger package we can schedule three season shoots fall ,winter and spring and put them all together in one set.

Packages start at $250.00 and go up to $1000.00….BTW don’t trust anyone with a camera to get these special shots done, there are two times in your life when you really want to splurge a little on photography, Weddings and your Senior Portraits !!

Thanks for stopping by and taking a look and I look forward to gearing from you !!

Madison Indiana Photography

I find it harder and harder to post to this blog anymore  or any of my blogs for that matter, business has been great with the portrait part of my photography but the part I miss the most is the nature side. But that is the side that pays the bills, so I guess I better be careful what I wish for lol !!

Portrait photography has actually been wonderful to do so far, I haven’t ran into that so called Bridezilla or meddling mother yet so I can’t complain too much on that front it’s just being able to spend all the quality time I used to get outside has all but dried up. It doesn’t help that I am still working at the store or that I am still coaching basketball either, but the good thing is I get a little closer everyday to giving up my job I have been at for 33 years and when that happens things should really up time wise for me in a big way !!

I really miss my time in the Smoky mountains, haven’t been on a shooting trip down there for over a year now, maybe if I get caught up this spring I  might get down there for a shoot.

But like I said earlier the portrait part of my photography is doing great and all my clients have been great to work with, I went from 8 weddings last year to already booking 11 for this year and waiting to hear from three more and it’s only January. I would like to be able to do more Senior Pics and it’s getting better this year, and the family and kid sessions are booking up quite well.

So I am very thankful for all my clients and I hope my business keeps growing I just hope to be able to spend a little more time in all the beautiful canyons and gorges that surround my hometown here in Madison Indiana and trip or two down to the Great Smoky Mountain National Park would be pretty nice as well.

Thanks for stopping by and here is a recent example of the work I am doing now, hope you like the image and click on it for a better view !

“Coolpicsphotography”

I thought I might share an image from the other side of my photography life. I have always and will  love nature photography but for now it’s portrait and wedding photography that is a much bigger source of income, and actually after initial misgivings on it and I am really starting to enjoy myself.

I didn’t think for a second that I would be able to photograph people but after tons of trial and error and a lot of patient friends and family members I think I am starting to get a few shots that people are happy with.  I am also finding that many of the ways I shoot nature is very similar to portrait photography as well, except for flash and that is another story !!

I do have a second blog that will showcase my portrait photography  http://www.coolpicsphotography.wordpress.com

I have a studio in downtown Madison Indiana where I can service most needs..I know it’s sounding like a commercial which I guess it is, but it is something I really enjoy and if I can reach a happy medium between both sides of photography and make alittle money on the side that would be great !!

I am posting a image of a girl who used to play basketball for me, don’t let the photo fool you she was a beast on the court  and never backed down from a fight !!

Thanks for stopping by and taking a look hope you enjoy the image and if you get a chance maybe you could visit my other blog and take a look as well, and once again view the image large for best results !!

“Ladybug Art”

How about something a little different, I have never really tried shooting insects before because of the equipment used to get in really close to these little guys, but I happened along this little ladybug and was able to get this shot. I shot it hand held and at 2.8 it gave it a really cool effect.

The photographers who get really up close to butterflies and dragonflies and get those incredible portrait shots are so good at what they do and hopefully someday with some amount of patience and equipment I hope to be able to get a few wonderful shots like they do !!

But until then I will just have to settle with a few shots like this to hold me over, hope you enjoy and thanks for stoping by !!
