2012 in review

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2012 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

19,000 people fit into the new Barclays Center to see Jay-Z perform. This blog was viewed about 86,000 times in 2012. If it were a concert at the Barclays Center, it would take about 5 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.

It’s that time of year again here in Madison Indiana, schools are getting started and it’s time for Senior Portraits to begin.  It’s really never a bad time for Senior Portraits I guess it is a right of passing that you get them done when you go back to school in the fall !!

I can do in studio shoots or for a bit cheaper price we can do it all outside to save you money, we can customize your shoot as well or for a bigger package we can schedule three season shoots fall ,winter and spring and put them all together in one set.

Packages start at $250.00 and go up to $1000.00….BTW don’t trust anyone with a camera to get these special shots done, there are two times in your life when you really want to splurge a little on photography, Weddings and your Senior Portraits !!

“Madison Indiana Weddings”

The one thing I love most about wedding photography is the hunt, and by that I mean not just the traditional family pose and whatnot, but the emotion filled image that doesn’t always come around often in other life events.

And trying to capture these images is like a hunt, you have to stake out the game and then be there when they pass thru the sights this shot my not ever happen again, so you better be ready and have a steady hand. I try my best to nail these images for the clients, I don’t always get them all, but I think I have succeeded enough now to have captured my fair share.

In this image of a wedding that I shot in Madison Indiana the ushers were having quite the time of getting the  aisle runner up and well… running, so the Bridesmaids were really enjoying the show. I  loved this shot because of the wide range of emotion it conveyed, from I am trying to take the high road and not laugh, to snickers and then the all out laugh just sealed the deal !!

These are the money shots and I believe the ones that bring back the best memories of that special day, so when you are shooting that wedding make sure you are on the hunt for these shots and it will be a great boost to your portfolio and the Brides Memory Book !!

Thanks for stopping by and taking a look and click on the image for best viewing !

“Madison Indiana Weddings”

Just now recovering from a great wedding shoot from a feww days ago, got to spend great deal of time shooting around a large industrial area here in Madison Indiana, and the images so far have been really cool.

This was a perfect opportunity for a b&w conversion, I love the stark contrast between the beautiful bride and the rusted deteriorating look of the train cars and track. I still like the posed family and wedding party pics, but you just can’t beat the fun pics you can have on your wedding….it really helps to let off a little steam on your special day !!

So if you are planning your wedding don’t forget the fun pics you will be glad you took the time to get them done, thanks for stopping by and taking a look and click on the image for best viewing.

“Madison Indiana Photography”

It has been a very long time since I posted on this site, a little more than four months, and it’s not I have given up on this blog it’s just that I stared another one for my portrait business and that my side of my photography has become so busy I just didn’t have the time to keep up with it.

I always say I am going to to spend more time here but it never happens so I won’t say it lol. But at least today I am going to post something new, the bad thing everything I have that is new is portrait oriented, so I guess I will just post something from one of my recent sessions here in Madison Indiana just to show you what I have been up too !!

These are a few from a recent Wedding that I shot ,  it was one of those great outside Weddings where the light and all the colors worked so well together that the images came out absolutely beautiful and made for a great Wedding shoot,  these are my favorite setups !!

I can’t express how thankful I have been for all the clients and work they have given me but I really miss the other side of my photography and hopefully someday soon I can quit my job and then have the time to venture out into the woods and canyons that surround my home and capture some of the beautiful nature scenes that I love so much.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a look and for best viewing just click on the image.
