“Madison Chautauqua of the Arts”

The weekend of September 26-27 is the big weekend for our community, the 39th annual Madison Chautauqua of the Arts, will be held in the Historic downtown district in Madison Indiana. There will be over 270 artists displaying their fine work all around the J.F.D. Lanier Mansion also there will be food courts, musicians and street entertainers in attendance as well.

If you don’t have much going on why don’t you drive to Madison and take a look around you just might find some beautiful art to purchase or just take a stroll thru our lovely little town, yoenjoyable you just might make a return visit.

You have shown us some incredibly good stuff, Bernie. It will stand up with the very best. I hope you and your group have great success with the new venture!

Really awesome pic Bernie. Might be my favorite. You have every right to be very proud of your work and your sells will continue to grow as more people see how awesome a photographer you are. Your eye is amazing. Goodluck with the gallery too. Get with your areas’s tourism planning commission and they can help you out a lot. Often they will give you free or cheap advertising.

Great photo, and I’m so glad to hear you’re selling some work! I’m sure you’d do /quite/ well in a gallery setting – your macros and nature shots are easily the equal of, or superior to, most of what I see in galleries and street fair booths here in SF.

In a follow up to the the previous picture…..this fountain is older than your wife… Sorry could not help myself. Have a great time at Chataq. I wish you had been able to get the gallery up in time to sell the thousands of tourists invading your fine city this weekend. This shot would be a fantastic Chataq seller.

I love this image Bernie – it is perfect. I also have to give you my personal applause on your recent courage. I have yet to see a more accomplished photographer. Your work captures the beauty and that untouchable essence of nature that simply is absent in many photos I’ve seen – including ones I’ve seen in some pretty impressive magazines. I honestly beleive that just letting that bird fly out the window a bit and I’m betting you’ll be impressed with how far it flies. Oh yeah… congrats on your recent sales as well as your recent venture!

The weather looks to be perfect hope the attendance is good, the only problem with the fair is on one side of the town for years there was a area for trinkets and crafts to sell and on the other was the fine art. The problem now is a lot of the fine art has moved on and there are more of the craft type items moving into the fine art area.

Nothing wrong with the craft items but the paintings, sculptures and other works of art are starting to dwindle away. It’s still a fun weekend with plenty of art to be found.

Thanks for all the nice comments BTW.
