Okay so the title is a little lame and I am not feeling real creative today so here you go three images of coneflowers from my backyard. I guess I can so a little more than that, I actually shot all of these in my backyard, which is pretty good since my green thumb fell off years ago and anything that grows and is not a weed is amazing for me.
Echinacea or Coneflower are a beautiful and easily photographed perennial that are very hardy and self spreading flower that are wonderful to plant in just about any spot in your yard. In my yard at least they grow well in shade or full sunlight don’t take much water and seem to be popping up everywhere. They are also beautiful as a cut flower to give to your wife when you are in trouble or just to decorate your home with.
Coneflower’s can cover all your bases, when you are in trouble, need a subject to shoot or just to make your yard a little more colorful so if you are looking for something to plant next year try Coneflowers 😉

Good to learn what a Echinacea or Coneflower is, don’t get to see this flower in the tropics.

Thanks JH, no these don’t grow in fields but are more isolated to a few clomps here and there !!
Love the colors, backgrounds and details but it seems to me that the heads could be a tad sharper. Maybe just my weary old eyes tired from working on my new website.
I actually laid a bit of blur on them just to soften them up a bit Ed, just something a little different to play with !!

Nice photos, Bernie. I especially like the first one, it has perfect composition, nice details on the most near flower and very nice colours. Actually, all the photos seems a bit dark to me so I wonder if it would help to brighten them a bit or to take those photos when flowers are lit by morning or evening soft sun light. Just my thought.
My monitor is off a bit so I probably do need to to add a bit of light too it !!

I can never get enough of photos like these. This particular flower is so fascinating visually. I’m not sure why but I always am attracted to photos of Echinacea. Great set!
