I photographed these fireworks from the Ohio River bridge over the fourth of July weekend. It was a great view for them and and even more unique spot to capture their beauty !!

Been over two years since my last post many things in my life have changed, things I can share later but for now I just wanted to figure out how to use my blog again.

BackYard Flowers…Forget-Me-Knot

I spend hour after hour and travel many miles to bring you my photographs of the array of wonderful wildflowers that I capture, but now I think I will just sit back and share the easy ones, the ones from my yard.

I am not the worlds best gardener and I don’t have the time to treat them like I should but I do have a pretty good assortment of flowers that I am growing in my yard just for the days when I can just slide out the back yard and knock of a couple of images and slide right back into the comfort of my own home for a change !!

I try to stick to perennials like coneflower, black-eyed Susan and bee-balm. But this year I also went with a cool little annual I found at the nursery and I love the profusion of blooms these little jewels produce. Forget-Me-Knots seem to be an easy flower to care for and they produce vivid blue colors in their bloom that make for incredible images.

So if you are looking for a great flower for your garden and or as a photography subject  you might try this great little plant I think you will be glad you did. Midnight Blue

Been sitting here editing and getting wedding images ready to be sent out to print, and I thought I might go way back in the file department and bring out an oldie but goody image from one of my past photo trips.

The reason I searched this one out is a friend of mine who is also a photographer named Ed Goody shot an image that really reminded me of this, it was also a pier he shot in the evening after sunset.  This image came from Naples Florida where I have both family and friends residing, Naples is a great place to visit, I just wish I could make some time to get back down there and visit them and all the great places to photograph !!

I wanted to rework this image because the last time I processed it I think I went a little overboard on the blue tint in it and decided I need to back off a bit and see how it worked out with a little less processing.  After the rework I think I got what I was after and hopefully the image works a little better now.
