Wildflowers of the Smoky Mountains

Here are a few more images from a recent trip to the Great Smoky Mountain National Park, I love traveling to this special place not only for the wildflowers but for the vast variety of subjects you can photograph at this special place.  Landscapes, macros, wildlife and many other opportunities await the photographer traveling thru the Southern Appalachian Mountains, you can never run out of subjects or seasons in this photographers paradise.

So here are a couple more examples of the many wildflowers that grow in the Smoky Mountains, the first is the Dwarf Crested Iris and the other two being Wild Columbine.

If you get an opportunity try traveling to the Smokies and make sure you get out and hike and view and photograph the beautiful subjects that call this special place home. Thanks for stopping by and taking a look !!

Madison Indiana Wildflowers

Here is my last post on Spring Wildflowers shot at Clifty Falls State Park near Madison Indiana. I photographed many more images from this spring but just so I can get caught on my Smoky Mountain wildflowers and my summer wildflowers from Southern Indiana I think it’s time to move on to other subjects.

I will start with the Wild Columbine and then the Yellow Violet and finally my favorite Blue-Eyed Mary.

I love the vast array of color that the flowers bloom in during the spring season it is always a great time to be able to get out and photograph after a long cold winter. Hopefully you enjoyed these and I can’t wait till next spring to get out and add more to my portfolio.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great day !!

Madison Indiana Photography

Been quite a long time since I posted last,  not from lack of images, but from lack of time. The portrait part of my photography has really kept me busy and I still try to get out and photograph nature and other images that I really enjoy capturing.

I am going to have a few weeks  between weddings and the start of Senior Pics so I am hoping to get caught up with some blogging here and share a few images of things I have been able to capture.  And since the last time I posted I have taken a couple of trips to the Great Smoky Mountain National Park and spent some time photographing the beautiful wildflowers found at Clifty Falls State Park here in Madison Indiana.

First I will share some wildflowers I shot at Clifty Falls starting with Dutchman’s Breaches, Virginia Bluebells, and finally Sessile Trillium. Hope you enjoy the pics as much as I did capturing them and I hope you have a great 4th of July weekend as well !!
