I don’t know too much about Hemingway’s history or his hangouts, but I did find a slight difference in opinion on the streets of Key West, I have two different “Original” Sloppy Joe’s in my files and I was just wandering if someone could clear this up for me?

I don’t know but I love the top b&w conversion. I think the Key West was made for black and white photography. So much history and the style of buildings fit it nicely. Thanks for sharing.

Captain Tony’s is a bar owned by Tony Tarracino, former mayor of Key West. Yes, he was mayor and barkeep at the same time! Captain Tony’s is the physical location of the old Sloppy Joe’s bar back in the days of Hemingway. Both claims are correct, in that the name of the place was Sloppy Joes, but it just used to be in the Captain Tony’s location. I hope that helps. The drinks are great in both places.
I would never know how a drink would taste there, I don’t visit those type of establishments, Ok so that was my only lie of the day, I hope.
